So what makes a b3 so special you may ask?

What makes a b3 Phoenix unique?

Neck through body construction to start

This model came to life way back in 2007 which at the time was quite possibly the only neck through body T style guitar in the market place. Over time the model has gone through various revisions to different construction offerings that include, added tops, semi hollow to baritone, including left handed Phoenix offerings.

Carbon fiber reinforced necks

A detail I first started using on the Ultra Modern and headless Ringmaster models. As its a detail that's truly modern in its use, something your daddy's guitar never had through a vintage era.

Yet since Jan 2022 Carbon fiber reinforcement became a common detail among all models. Since I perform every duty within the business I would note how lumber changes through various steps of the process, often seeing how much wood will move even when fully cured for decades.

2 way truss rod

A 2 way rod is nothing new but it simply allows the benefit of the neck being adjusted in any direction to overcome any obstacles Mother Nature may throw at it over a lifetime.

Stainless steel fretwire default

Default as of Jan 2022, for what could be the only fret job your neck ever needs. Nickel Silver still available for the purists.

Deep sculpted neck contour

Honestly this came by way of accident as the Phoenix began with a more classic traditional neck heel, then one day while working on a build I happened to machine out some raw material too far. Wh starring at it a friend mentioned why don't you just do a deep sculpted heel? Ever since that day its remained a constant detail in all Phoenix builds as, then a Smugglers Cavity under the guard plus an arm contour all shaving added weight off for excelled comfort.
